The catastrophic spreading of herbicide resistant weeds during the worldwide droughts of 2030s altered agriculture practices forever. Despite billions of dollars in research efforts, the Global chemical companies were unable to formulate new herbicides to kill these “superweeds” This crisis spawned a worldwide shift away from mono-crop cultivation Regenerative agriculture practices became the new-norm as millions of acres of of unproductive, corporate farmed land were converted to small locally owned farms. These farms used proven practices to recycle waste in more labour intensive, sustainable methods such as composting.
Called “Circle Farming”, many musicians at the time found inspiration in the return of the local family farm.
